Artist Talk & Live Demonstration

Join photographer Richard Battye for an informal artist talk exploring the ideas and process behind his new series, PROJECT.

Richard will talk about how he creates the work by projecting photographs of everyday textures, surfaces and urban details directly onto the human body, before re-photographing the result – all created in-camera, without Photoshop.

The talk will be followed by a live demonstration, showing how lighting, projection, movement and the body come together to create the final images.

Want to become part of the demo?
We encourage visitors to wear white or light-coloured clothing. Richard will project textures and images directly onto willing audience members, giving you a chance to experience the process from the other side of the camera.
