Join exhibiting artists John Hall and Sarah Bagshaw for an informal evening exploring the ideas, processes and inspirations behind FOLD \ UNFOLD.
Through painting, textiles and surface design, the two Birmingham artists transform overlooked urban surfaces, patterns and textures into striking contemporary artworks. During this artist talk, they'll discuss their individual practices, their shared fascination with the hidden beauty of everyday materials, and how their different approaches come together within the exhibition.
Expect insights into their creative process, the stories behind selected works, and a conversation about observation, materiality and finding inspiration in the ordinary. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and chat with the artists.
